  Acting and Musical Theatre for Children and Teens! THE NHAOPA DIFFERENCE: At NHAOPA we believe theatre is best taught as an organic experience! ?For this reason we offer production based classes that are 100% interactive and hands on. From day one all students begin to work on actings skits or musical theater numbers that will be showcased in our upcoming cabarets . Learn by doing is our motto! Students will work on skit/song memorization, lyric interpretation, and how to connect to the message of their piece. Voice training topics such as diction and projection will help the students learn how to use their voice in an effective and healthy way to communicate . Students will also experience Choreography and "Blockography" which help them move effectively on stage. In addition to that, students will learn basic theatre lingo such as "downstage", "upstage" "wings, "move on one" etc by using them during the rehearsal period. One of the greatest things student gain from this training is getting past STAGE FRIGHT. Students who are shy will benefit tremendously from this program by using all the skills mentioned before in a "TEAM" setting. Our approach to theatrical training is very Interactive and hands on. Rehearsing with a team of Broadway professionals, the ensemble has performed at Carnegie Hall and Madison Square Garden, in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, in Rocktopia on Broadway, and more.

SHINING STARS exists to start budding performers on a lifelong path of theater and art appreciation through creative group play in a fun and supportive environment.
